Stopped by for an early dinner just before 5PM. We were immediately seated as only 4-5 tables were occupied. The ordering process is a little convoluted, and we had little help from the staff since you place your order by scanning a QR code. We had to confirm that our order was even placed. They also have a membership program that allows you to collect points towards free dishes, which is a nice offer. The food was prepared quickly and was super tasty. The ingredients were fresh and not too salty. I will definitely go back. I can easily see how my experience could be different if we went to this restaurant during a busy period. The waitstaff tend to just stand around. More training on customer service could help a ton. One other thing, there were lots of flies in the dining area and it it annoying having to constantly fan your food.

I patronised this restaurant twice during my week stay in Brisbane. The food was delicious and big generous serving portions. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommend

Not bad, but nothing amazing either. A solid 3.5/5. We came here as Mum liked the menu. It was different to what we expected. The restaurant was in the outdoor market area in Market Square. It had an “outdoor” seating area surrounded my those plastic sheet blinds, as well as a smaller indoor area. The staff were decent and the food was okay. The menu was quite extensive. We got the sweet and sour fish, the pepper chicken, the shallot and chive beef, and the deep fried tofu. The food was not super flavourful, other than the chicken and the fish. The fish was probably mostly just dough, so that was a bit disappointing. The chicken was probably the best. Even though the food wasn’t amazing, the serving sizes were quite large. Prices were cheap so we can’t complain much. I’d say that the worst thing was probably the seating though. There were a lot of flies that wouldn’t leave our food alone, regardless of what we did. I would have to say that was the most frustrating aspect. Overall, it’s a decent restaurant for a cheap meal. It isn’t the most amazing meal, but you get what you pay for. If you can, try to sit indoors as there are just too many flies outside!

Thoroughly delicious and satisfying meals in generous portions at reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient service. Substantial range of dishes and drinks to choose from. Bubble tea better priced than Gong Cha and with a myriad of flavours. Good selection of desserts too. Looking forward to coming back!

Always come here for the salt & pepper flounder-crispy & delicious. Food is always good, tasty and generous portions. Thank goodness they've opened again!.

Our Szechuan Chicken was not spicy at all and the Seafood Horfan with gravy was bland. The Belachan green beans with mince pork was the only saving grace. A very disappointing meal indeed. Lots of people were waiting for their dishes to arrive way after we have paid up. 🙄

Ordered take away as my favorite restaurant (malaya corner) was shut. I ordered 2 satay chicken with rice $19 each and wow disappointed with the taste, the rice is undercooked and is hard to chew, the container isn’t even full and it taste like they have used some sort of cream, it taste nothing like satay chicken. Disappointed. You get a 1/10 from me, don’t bother going there, waste of money and fuel.

We have been tossing whether to post this or not because we had such a bad experience but hey, we’re here to share our real experiences right? So here it goes.. We dined here for lunch on a Sunday back in early October. They normally open between 11:30-2:30 for lunch and 4:30-9pm for dinner. We got there at 1:00pm, had to wait outside for a table. We probably managed to sit around 1:10-1:15. We were squished in a space inside since we can’t have our then 5 month old bub out of her pram— she was not ready to be on a high chair. We ordered via the QR code on the table quite quickly. We know the menu because this is one of our go to places. As the food came, we took quick photos of each dish and then started eating. We normally don’t wait for everything to be served as we want to have the food while they’re hot. Just before 2pm, we have been asked to settle our bill as they are closing, understandable. We purchased take away containers straight up as some of the food have not been touched yet as they have just been served. As requested, we paid the bill but tried to continue eating as fast as we could. They started closing the roller door, which is fine, they’re closed. Completely understandable. But, we were stunned when they turned all the lights off, and they all started eating their lunch. We don’t have any problems with them eating their lunch, but turning all the lights off while customers are still inside the restaurant eating, that was beyond us. Yes, we understand they close at 2:30, it was around 2:15 when this happened. We ordered way more than what’s on the photos. We had mixed vegetables, fried rice, noodle soup, etc. We just packed whatever we can fit in the take away containers and left everything else behind. We used to come here often, we’ve been dining here since around 2011. This experience has forever put us off from coming back.
